Put on your tennis shoes, and get ready to Run4Deerwood and support our school through our FUNdraising event!

The Run 4 Deerwood Jog-a-thon is a fun and fit activity for all Deerwood students, their families and staff. This year's event is now MONDAY, October 16, 2023. Students reach for their personal best by setting realistic lap goals based on age and development. Warm-up and cool down activities add to the fun through stretching and dance!

Third, fourth and fifth grades 8:30am-10:30am on Monday, October 16

Kindergarten, first and second grades 11:30am -1:30pm on Monday, October 16

As always, the only way we'll be successful is with the help of our families and staff! We hope you can participate to the best of your ability to help us reach our goal by encouraging family, friends & neighbors to donate to this fun, school-wide event!

Does your company match your donation?

A corporate matching donation, or matching gift, is when a person makes a donation to a non-profit organization and their employer donates an additional amount, often equal or greater than the employee’s donation.  If you work for a company with a matching gift program (Ecolab, Thomson Reuters, Wells Fargo, Express Scripts, Ameriprise, US Bank, just to name a few), it's a great way to maximize your donation to Deerwood!

Typically, the person makes their donation first and then submits their match request through their companies established process. The receipt from the person's donation is often required to complete the request. Please list the recipient as Deerwood Elementary School when filling out the company paperwork.

Please sign up for available Volunteer slots leading up to the event as well on the day of the event! You'll still have time to run with your child as there are slots before/after the run and  the slots during the run are only 1 hour (and the run is about 2 hours). This year, we will be marking laps on students' arms as usual. But we've also added other activities that require some volunteer support!

Each student and their teacher will get this FREE shirt thanks to our generous sponsors. Be sure to check them out below.

Mockup only - the year will be updated to 2023!

Families can order complementary shirts - LINK COMING SOON!

For those of you who ordered Adult t-shirts, they will be shipped to the school and can be picked up on event day.

All Deerwood Students will be provided with a 2023 Run4Deerwood shirt to wear at the event - they will put this on OVER whatever they wear to school. We suggest comfortable pants and closed-toed shoes they can jog/run in -- add a sweatshirt/jacket if needed. Please apply sunscreen at home.

Parents and other family members are encouraged to join their kids to walk, run or cheer. Please leave pets at home! Show your school spirit by wearing Deerwood apparel or blue & green.

Ask your kids for more details about the prizes they're most excited about --  they can track their progress on the Fundhub site.

We had many businesses that sponsored our Run 4 Deerwood Jog-a-thon. We would like to recognize them for their support of Deerwood and our fundraising efforts.  It is thanks to ALL of our sponsors, that EVERY Deerwood student received a free Run 4 Deerwood t-shirt!  Please consider supporting them the same way they supported Deerwood - click on their logos/name to visit their site and learn more.
