Put on your tennis shoes, and get ready to Run4Deerwood and support our school through our FUNdraising event!

The Run 4 Deerwood Jog-a-thon is a fun and fit activity for all Deerwood students, their families and staff. This year's event is Thursday, October 6. Students reach for their personal best by setting realistic lap goals based on age and development. Warm-up and cool down activities add to the fun through stretching and dance!

  • This is Deerwood’s primary effort to raise money to help support enrichment opportunities, technology offerings and infrastructure enhancements that would not be possible without these additional funds.

  • 100% of the money raised stays at Deerwood! 50% of it is provided directly to the school and the rest is allocated to PTO-supported initiatives and events.

  • Our overall goal is $40,000!

As always, the only way we'll be successful is with the help of our families and staff! We hope you can participate to the best of your ability to help us reach our goal by encouraging family, friends & neighbors to donate to this fun, school-wide event!

Contact us with questions you don't find answers to below -

Register your child(ren) on the Fundhub site ASAP.

  • Registration is very simple! Once you're registered, your family will be able to accept donations online, set goals and view progress.

  • First, you'll provide some basic info to create a family account. Then, you'll add your 1st child. Once that's complete, you can add additional children and add/edit details for your children's profiles, if desired.

Share with friends & family to start collecting donations!

  • Each child will have their own page that you can share separately - OR... you'll be able to share a "Family" page that lists all of your children and allows people to make a single donation that can be split across multiple kids.

  • We'll reach our goal of $30,000! Aim to share with 15 people to achieve this goal.

  • NOTE: online donations incur a fee. When donating, users can select whether they'd like to cover the fee (so that their full donation goes to the school) or if they'd like to have the fee deducted from the donation.

Does your company match your donation?

A corporate matching donation, or matching gift, is when a person makes a donation to a non-profit organization and their employer donates an additional amount, often equal or greater than the employee’s donation. If you work for a company with a matching gift program (Ecolab, Thomson Reuters, Wells Fargo, Express Scripts, Ameriprise, US Bank, just to name a few), it's a great way to maximize your donation to Deerwood!

Typically, the person makes their donation first and then submits their match request through their companies established process. The receipt from the person's donation is often required to complete the request. Please list the recipient as Deerwood Elementary School when filling out the company paperwork.

Please sign up for available Volunteer slots leading up to the event as well on the day of the event! You'll still have time to run with your child as there are slots before/after the run and the slots during the run are only 1 hour (and the run is about 2 hours). This year, we will be marking laps on students' arms as usual. But we've also added other activities that require some volunteer support!

Each student will get this FREE shirt thanks to our generous sponsors. Be sure to check them out below. Mockup only - the year will be updated to 2022!

Families can order complementary shirts here until September 26!
